Iranian-Canadian designer Elham Seyed Javad, owner of Montreal-based IQO Design, has submitted a proposal for a sports hijab that is being considered by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). Last month, FIFA announced it will allow women to wear the previously banned sport hijab. Javad’s design will be considered along with prototypes from Netherlands-based Capsters. A final decision on who will design the sports hijab is expected to be made by FIFA in the summer.
