‘Persian Warrior’ prepares for MFC rematch

Iranian-Canadian MMA fighter Sabah Fadai will try to do what he failed to do in a re-match against Diego Bautista at the Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) on August 10, 2012 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Sabah “The Persian Warrior” Fadai will try to beat Diego Bautista for the second time after their first match ended in a “No Contest”.

Fadai and Bautista fought back in May. The match was stopped due to an illegal knee delivered by Fadai to Bautista while on the ground. The match was originally ruled as a disqualification but was then changed to be a “no contest” since the hit was unintentional, according to the MFC website.

In an interview on MMACanada.net, Fadai, who lives in British Columbia, said he is proud of his Iranian culture and is not only fighting to win, but is also fighting to be an athlete Iranians can be proud of.
