More than 11,000 expected at Ontario College Information Fair
Colleges from across Ontario will come together to make it easy for potential students to get information on degrees, graduate certificates, diplomas and apprenticeship programs, all in one location from October 20 to 21.
The annual Ontario College Information Fair is the largest event of its kind in the province and drew more than 11,000 high school students, adult learners, teachers, guidance counselors and parents last year.
The Ontario College Information Fair will take place at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place (100 Princes’ Boulevard, Toronto) on October 20 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on October 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
The popularity of Ontario college programs continues to increase, with more than 58 per cent of new postsecondary students choosing to enroll in college. In order to provide potential new college students with relevant information about programs and campus life and answer any questions, all Ontario colleges will be present at the Ontario College Information Fair.
In addition to informational booths, there will be presentations made by the host GTA colleges, including Centennial College, George Brown College, Humber College, The Michener Institute, Seneca College, and Sheridan College. Sessions will cover topics such as financial aid, the unique experience of the mature student, and educational pathways between colleges and universities.
Ninety five per cent of graduates would recommend their colleges to someone else while 88 per cent of graduates would recommend their specific programs.
