Man found not criminally responsible for the death of a woman in Richmond Hill

A 38-year-old Richmond Hill man has been found not criminally responsible for the 2013 death of his 38-year old sister.

On Friday October 10, 2014, Justice Mark Edwards of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Newmarket, found Jonathon Ross not criminally responsible for the death of his sister Jeannine ROSS.

On Saturday, February 2, 2013, at approximately 1:55 a.m., police responded to an unknown trouble call at a condominium complex on Yonge Street, north of Elgin Mills Road. Upon arrival, officers with #2 District Uniform Patrol located a deceased female. An adult male suspect was arrested for murder at the scene. Mr. Ross was originally charged with second-degree murder.

Mr. Ross will now be before the Ontario Review board.
