Police seek suspect following commercial armed robbery in Vaughan

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking public assistance in identifying three male suspects following an armed robbery in the City of Vaughan.

On Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:50 p.m., three male suspects entered a tire shop located in a plaza on Winges Road, in the area of Weston Road and Highway 7. One of the suspects remained at the entrance holding a handgun while the other two suspects assaulted the three employees working at the location at the time. The suspects stole one victim’s cell phone and then fled the scene in a vehicle.

All three suspects are described as black males, wearing winter jackets, hoodies, gloves and surgical masks.

The vehicle is described as a silver, newer model Mazda 3 with a smashed driver’s side window.

Anyone who may have seen these suspects in the area at the time is asked to contact police.
