Ontario holding community consultations on improving Toronto District School Board governance

In response to Margaret Wilson’s report outlining governance concerns, the Ontario government is launching public consultations as part of its commitment to review the governance structure at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB).

Torontonians are invited to attend in-person sessions at locations across Toronto. The first session will take place on April 13, 2015 at the North Toronto Community Centre. Those interested in participating can register and get more information on the consultations website at consultationsontdsb.ca.

In addition, community members can share their ideas online. Comments can be provided until 5 p.m. on May 30, 2015.

Consultations will be conducted by the TDSB Governance Advisory Panel. The seven-member advisory panel was appointed by the province to lead the public consultations and will make recommendations to the Minister of Education in the summer of 2015.
