Iran’s banks to introduce credit cards for first time

For the first time in decades, Iran’s banks are reportedly preparing to issue credit cards.

Iranian media say the cards will be for domestic use only and do not involve any sort of partnership with a major international credit card company.

The move follows last summer’s landmark nuclear deal that saw the lifting of international economic sanctions against the country.
