Moose Fine

The Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding hunters there are rules to be followed for hunting big game. Breaking those rules has resulted in a total of eight thousand dollars in fines for a southwestern Ontario hunting party. They shot and killed two moose during a hunt northwest of Thunder Bay last October.

The group was found guilty of charges including failing to immediately notify their hunting party of a kill, making a false statement to a conservation officer and possessing illegally killed wildlife.
