Notley won’t weigh in on B.C. election after meeting anti-pipeline NDP leader

Alberta’s New Democrat premier has declined to endorse her counterpart in British Columbia in that province’s upcoming election.

A day after meeting with BC’s Opposition NDP leader, Rachel Notley said she won’t endorse a candidate in next year’s vote.

Notley’s support of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion has put her at odds with John Horgan, who opposes the 6.8-billion-dollar project.

The two met on Monday, and Notley says they discussed how to have civil conversations despite their opposing positions.
