Potato chips recall due possible Salmonella contamination

Check your snack cupboards – a brand of potato chips is being recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the Krinkle Cut Sour Cream & Onion Kettle Cooked Potato Chips distributed by Deep River Snacks were sold in Ontario, Alberta, and B.C.

The agency says the Deep River, Ontario-based company based its decision on a recall in another country, but did not say which one.

Officials say the recalled chips – sold in 57-gram and 142-gram packages – should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
