Virtual Violence

The American Academy of Pediatrics has updated its policy statement on virtual violence in the hope it will change the perception of how kids and teens consume violent media. It now claims the way children immerse themselves in apps, video games, and movies can make them more aggressive, violent and fearful.

The academy recommends parents be mindful of kids’ play with electronic devices, play along with them and protect kids under six from being exposed to violent media.
